The Plate Spinner was commissioned by Rick Valicenti, a Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt, National Design Awardee for Communication Design. Together Rick and Jesse created a video art piece based on Erich Brehn's performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" on February 16, 1969.
